I have been discussing sites with Steve and Sue Ide, which are closer to where they live, as they always support events and most fly-ins, but normally have to travel the furthest. They have suggested on the beach between Greatstone and the Pilot Pub along that part of the coast, not sure of exact location, but could be worth exploring if not this Sunday perhaps the Sunday after Teston.
I will not be out flying this weekend, having been out at kiting events for the last four weekends, so will probably try to fly closer to home, if chance occurs.
Could I suggest Tonbridge Park or Hythe for this coming Sunday, if not at Greatstone, depsite it being first weekend of school holidays.

Haven't been to greatstone for years and years. Suggested it in the past but got poo pooed. Happy to go there but guess if school holidays are upon us and weather remains good it could be very busy.

If the weather is good, a lot of the venues we fly at, will be busy, as I am not coming out to play, leave it up to members to discuss and come to a conclusion, which I will post.

Very interested in the idea of having the fly-ins further west. The New forest is ready for you.

Very interested in the idea of having the fly-ins further west. The New forest is ready for you. Good to read your posting Colin, hope you and Maragaret are well, New Forest awaits is a step too far at the moment, but if we can start by easing across the county maybe into East Sussex, then members may get use to going further, possibly need a mini bus to come over to the New Forest.

Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of enthusiasm at the moment. Anyone want to meet up or am I just flying local?

I will post South Street Hythe, I presume that it is the recreation ground for this Sunday from 11am. Have a good fly every-one

Hope to join you at South Street, Hythe but won't be early. A lot will depend on getting chores done as only just back from two weeks away. Mike
