Have been informed by Brogdale where we were due to fly as 3rd Sunday in the month, that they have campers using the normal flying field, and can offer the one behind it which we rejected at the Hanami Festival, so we need to consider elsewhere. Maybe Rough Common, as discussed at AGM to use it occasionally, although it does not have any facilities. It will also depend on Peter H, being available as he holds the key to the gate. Or any other suggestions

i thought we had moved this one back a week for some reason. Gareth, Your posting, stirred grey cells, you are correct, as this coming weekend should have been Bewl Water, which is now moved to September. Anyway it is third Sunday of the month, so could be Rough Common, if Peter is available with the key, or any other suggestions for a venue

I will be at Rough Common on Sunday if others are going to turn up but I can't be there until about 12. If it is decided not to go to Rough Common I have a commitment to play Petanque.

Peter, if you already have a commitment to play boules, I'd stick with that. Rather than come over to Canterbury where there are no facilities, could I suggest Tonbridge as an alternative?

I will wait until Saturday morning, to find if there is any follow up to Gareth's and Peter's post, before final posting. It does seem as though we have not been meeting as regularly so far this year as in the past. I know members have been to Berck and Ostende, so perhaps that is the reason.

Ok. As we can't seem to make a decision in Kent I think I'll probably pop up to Knebworth and fly with the Great Ouse massive

With no firm suggestions or any other input I'll follow my Petanque options (after all Margam is next weekend and Exmouth the week after). It would be nice to get the club up and flying again though.

Having been away in Oostende last weekend and with a weekend away next week I'm not sure we are going to make it flying tomorrow. So much to do with so little time available.

No-one seems enthusiastic to go and out fly this Sunday, so no fly-in, suggest you fly local to you and enjoy the day.

Not quite right Malcolm. I was enthusiastic. I'd have forgone my Petanque to open the gates at Rough Common!
