Stewth! that was a busy Kite Workshop, we ran out of lines at times. We also had some of the Russian Olyimpic Team on site. One shower dampened some but not us in the new Gazebo.

Strewth - a very good description Len. The Committee would like to thank all the members involved, especially the kite makers, and let you know that your efforts resulted in £45 in donations for Slideaway. Pat yourselves on the back if you are now standing straight again.

I would like to express thanks to every-one who supported the event both flying and the kitemaking workshop.
At times the workshop was overwhelmed especially in the afternoon. My thanks to Janet, Barry and Len and Steve but especially to those who were visitors and mucked in, Margaret Croucher, Peter, Shirley and Beverley Reeves, and Jenny, Bill's wife. Also to Shirley and Beverley who provided a constant supply of hot water for drinks.
You all made the day special for many children and their parents.
The one lesson we have taken away is that we will have to curtail the time in making kites, perhaps to only maximum of two sessions in a day with maximum time limit of 90 minutes each
