Being a Thursday, I hope I will still be working so can't commit to this right now. If faversham Rec is where I think it is, it will be an interesting flying site!

I'd probably be able to make it, subject to still being in the same job... Have flown at this field a few times.....and is a challenge, shall we say?

Have they cut any of the trees down? We flew there years ago and it was quite an experience. Having said that we hope to be able to make it.

The trees are still there and getting bigger! Perhaps we should be looking at perfecting an easy to make mini kite for the workshop? I have some ideas....

Parking on the rec will be available. You will need to get away sharpish at 4.00 to avoid the road closures for the torch relay @ 4.45

Instructions from the organisers:
Sorry to be so formal but as this is a high profile day it comes under the auspices of our Safety Advisory Group (SAG), so I have to do this so apologies for formality.
The event runs to the public from 10am -4pm you can set up from 8am onwards but must be ready by 9.30am so you can attend the briefing provided on the Recreation Ground at the Pavilion led by myself and Peter Thompson (Safety Manager for the Day) to go through safety precedures for the event.
The SAG have decreed that there can be no vehicle movement on the Recreation ground between 9.30am and 4.30pm. If your car is not an integral part of your set up it needs to be removed from the Recreation Ground and parked in the free parking at the Abbey School (where we have a mini bus to transport people back to site).

Syd,
Obviously my car will be needed on site for the transport of the kite making workshop materials. Sorry can you confirm if we have to use our own gazebo and tables??
