The club has been invited to have a fly in at the above in support of their Easter Egg Hunt. No access by car to field. Parking in Car park. I believe we are able to arrive at anytime around 10am onwards. As we received an early request for this fly-in, I have applied for CAA height clearance. If you have anything with an Easter theme to fly or to display it would be great. Hopefully for once we shall have reasonable weather. It is a fly-in not an event partly as quid pro quo for allowing KKF to have fly-ins during the year.

If I can shake off this cold, I'll try to get along there.

If I can shake off this cold, I'll try to get along there. Will we see the new Edo in the air?. Now we have the extra hour, it will give more time to sort out the bridle,

Just every-one who is attending on Sunday, we have height clearance up to 400ft. CAA state that there are a number of airfields in the locality, so have restricted our height clearance request.

What a lovely afternoon it turned into despite the lack of wall to wall sunshine. Great to see so many people with kites in the air. If only the wind had been a little more consistent. That site is rapidly growing on me! Now to sort out my Japanese kites for Brogdale on Saturday Mike

Spurred on by the sausages in a roll, and ample supply of coffee I managed to keep the cold weather out and fly a few kites that haven't seen the light of day for a looooooong time. The Illusion is everything I remember of it when Stuart first bought it, and it was fun to do a bit of old skool stuff on an elixir too.
Are we providing any form of static indoor display at the hanami festival or is it flying only?

I understand from the committee meeting Sunday that we are only required to fly, using the bottom field where the train goes round on two sides. Bill suggested that we could perhaps put roks around the perimeter hedge and fly in the middle. According to Brogdale's advertising the Festival runs from 11 to 3. I'm sure Malcolm will be posting more information shortly.
