I know we went there a couple of weeks ago but is a very popular site with the added attraction of Roast Dinners ( not always necessary to book but advisable ) Hot Drinks £1.00. Where am I suggesting, Sellindge Sports and Social Club. If this meets with approval them lets have a selection of 2 and 4 line kites on display ( new teams Practise session ).

Having read the forecast, heavy rain and gale force winds, will be making a late decision wherever it is decided to go. Will be waiting to see what actually happens before committing ourselves. Mike

I will post as Sellindge, but with the proviso that this posting is checked on Sunday morning, as the weather forecast is strong wind and lots of rain

Woke up to frost and no wind. By the time we got to Sellindge it was blowing well. Steve Ide & Len were fighting the wind with their quad line kites, sensible Sue was in the car having a cuppa. Barbara & I got out our Jilly Pelham kites and flew them for a wile until Barbara had a tab come unstitched and the kite headed groundwards. Brother Steve arrived and flew his new vented Jam Session Millenium while we watched. Ended the day flying Beccolinos as was the only kite Steve & I had capable of handling the strong winds that ended the day. Roast potatoes were good! The rain came through just after 4 and we all headed home, not the best flying conditions but at least we all got a breath of fresh air (Candy Crush will have to wait!) Mike

Well I was right, the weather forecast was wrong again. At twelve it was starting to get windy up here on the north downs after a frosty start. The weather up here went down hill from then, oh well. Not worth the fuel to get to Sellinge even for a Roast Potato. Hope to catch up with you all soon in-between our weekends away. Mike

Went for a guided tour of Farnborough Air Sciences Trust museum in the morning followed by a lovely lunch at a local history hostelry. Fascinating place doing good work. Admission is free but they welcome donations as it is there only source of income. All of the people there are volunteers and the vast majority seem to be ex employees of RAE.
