We have permission to Fly at the Sellindge Sports and Social Club, Swan Lane Sellindge this Sunday after 12.30 as there is a Footy Match on. Please do NOT drive on to the field, cars to be parked in the Car Park. If not a Member ( I have submitted my application Form to join ) then a very small fee per person is required of 50P per visit. ( I think this is right ). Possible chance to fly Night Kites so charge up those Batteries. Directions, Sellindge is on the A20 between Ashford and Hythe, between the School and the small Supermarket is Swan Lane, take this road and after a short distance on the left is the entrance to the Club.
I think someone put up a link to it before so could they do it again please. Found the post code. Try TN25 6HB
Len.

Pretty much sums up Ashford too, also foggy. Metcheck has the winds increasing to 5-10mph at noon so maybe the fog will lift then. Will need the weather to improve for us to venture out

The fog lifted slightly but is now rolling back in. The school fence approx 300 yds awaythat we could see clearly is now disappearing. there isnt the slightest breath of wind and outside temperature is reading 2.4 degrees in my garden. Have decided that we will be hibernating today. Hope anyone who ventured out to Sellindge that your journey was worth while. See you sometime soon Mike

6 people turned up to drink teas, coffees and hot chocolate, we spent the afternoon catching up on news then going through the Catalogue of Kites we have for Sale and putting a Minimum price that we expect to get for them. The fog tried to lift a few times but in the end failed. The Social Club Staff were welcoming and cheered us up with a bowl of roast Potatoes. We left for home at 4pm.
