As I am away from home over the next couple of days, and no venue has been agreed, I would suggest that members keep in touch via the forum for any last minute decisions on venue.

On Saturday the weather was far better in Brighton than at home in Ashford, we all caught the sun! and were actually caught all sitting down at one time, most unusual.

Yep, the weather was much better than forecast with sun and wind for most of the day apart from first thing. I was "Billy No Mates" as far as anyone coming along from KKF for the day, but was welcomed and kept company by many others. Steve and Sue had stayed for the weekend and Steve helped me to try and put my newly acquired ladybird pop up tent back into it's bag.....I was fine last week when I tried it, but we just couldn't get it small enough today I put my banners up and show cased my cows and ladybirds along side them. The cows did not like the intermittent gusts but the ladybirds worked well and as usual were popular with photographers. The ladybird tent was a huge success with lots of children playing in and around it... I could have sold many of them!!! The whole event worked really well today and there were large numbers of public who seemed to stay for much of the day. The fields were both extremely crowded and the traders very busy. The sweet shop next to me did very brisk business and the kite traders seemed happy for a change. Unfortunately, only two of us won any prizes on the raffle, Bill got a "six pack" kite!!! and I won a Mickey Mouse and two John Smith beers? I'll await your comments!!! All in all a very enjoyable event and I will be back next year.
