Haven't done the Thanet thing for a long time. St. Mildred's or Palm Bay?

Based purely on the fact that we were at a South coast location last week at Hythe Barbara & I would prefer to opt for St Mildreds Bay. Not flown there for ages and is slightly closer than Palm Bay. Weather for the whole weekend isnt looking to bad so should be ok for flying in 4mph Easterlies on Sunday, looks like a light wind kite day. Mike

Great afternoon in good sunny weather. Very iffy winds, there one minute and gone the next only to return at 90 degrees from original direction. Good turnout with many kites flown. Thanks to Gareth for swapping his big dogs to excercise one large cat! Shame the wind prevented a proper take off. Slightly glowing tonight on left hand side as despite the changes of wind direction the sun was always on my left cheek Mike

Agree with Mike and Gareth, a most enjoyable afternoon for our first fly since Berck. It was good to see 10 members battling the very hit and miss wind which the sunny weather more than made up for. A pity the cat didn't manage to get all four paws off the ground - quite a few onlookers were attracted by it. Better luck next time Barbara. Janet & Barry

Glad you had a good day yesterday. I was the driver of the support vehicle for 12 walkers on their second day walking Hastings Pier to Eastbourne Pier and return journey on Sunday Total 32 miles, all in the name of charity.
Was anything discussed about venue for next Sunday ??

It was left up in the air as so many are off to Ostend on Saturday and may not be available on Sunday. If Barbara is up to it on Sunday we would want to be fairly close to home because it is one of her dancing Sundays so she would need to be off early. Mote Park was tentatively suggested but no firm decision taken. Mike

It is unlikely we will be in a fit state to fly anything after what promises to be an extremely rough crossing to and from France and a wet and windy Ostend. Him & Her
