Just to confirm as I have not flown here before that it is the park to the North side of the road.

Kevin, the park at South Road is to the North of the road. Parking is on South Road its self usually manage to find a place to park with not to many problems. We tend to fly at the Eastern end of the park as the part nearer the new pavilion often had footballers or cricketers on it. Usually get a good public response there from people walking from the beach back towards the canal across the park. Wind can be awkward depending on direction, forecast today is for Easterly 5 - 13 mph so shouldnt be to bad. See you later Mike

And..........Kites, kite bags, chairs, picnic rugs, trousers, jackets etc. etc. to dry out Got home and the suns out now and everything looks springlike again Reminds me of the nursery rhyme. Incy Wincy kiters flying out about, down came the rain and washed the kiters out. Out came the sunshine, dried up all the rain so incy wincy kiters went out to fly again. Mike

Yep, sun was shining when I got home but roads not good on the way....
Have made my decision about Blyth and have booked my hotel (Premier Inn) near the airport which seems to be one of the nearest at a reasonable price with vacancies at this last hour.....
If you know of anyone who needs to travel North this weekend I would be happy to have a companion in the car......
