The flyers at Brogdale to-day had a discussion about where to fly next Sunday, St Mildreds was mentioned, but it was decided to put forward Swanley Park, for a trial fly, after Kevin had made an initial foray and enquiry there. Ther only downside is that we haev to park in the car park and pay for parking £2.00 all day.

Would prefer to be nearer the other end to hand over kites back to Berck bods.......
Am also already missing that sea air!!!!
Problem with Swanley Park is that parking is a nightmare, even on a sunny weekday. It is a long way to go to find that there's nowhere to park... It is the only open space nearby for local people so get's packed just as a park should...but .....

Weather forecast for Sunday is unsettled, showers expected, having survived drizzle and rain at Brogdale some members are harden to the weather, but as Mike states it is a long way to go, with the forecast, any other suggestions or comments

If drizzle is forecast then I would say leave Swanley for another day, I agree that for those travelling great distance it would be nice to have some guarantee of nice weather to fly in. Somewhere more central will also allow Gerty to do some reuniting.

I will throw into the mix Teston, even with out toilet block operative and port-a-loos on site.
is it possible to have a collective decision by Friday evening so as I may post via e-mail and text messages to members.

Is no one committing themselves as yet due to the weather forecast, or just having a week off after Berck ??/

Swanley is out for this weekend as I understand that Kevin has to inform the rangers ( stand to be corrected on that by kevin) so it is either Hytehr or Teston ?/

The weather in Kent is heavy rain showers in the morning followed by light rain showers after midday with the rain petering out mid afternoon. It looks like no-where in Kent is going to be dry throughout the day, the only thing I cannot find out is how long each shower will last for. Swanley is NOT a good idea now for this week (I will explain later under Flying sites in the forum). I am happy to fly at Teston or Hythe; however will not be flying at either until after lunch. If we are at Hythe would like some guarantee that I will not be the only one there (its a long way for me to fly on my own). As young Frank used to sing "Come fly with me".

As I suggested Hythe it would be churlish of me not to attend. Of course the proviso weather permitting is added.

I know that Teston is nearer for many of us but I would not recommend flying there for a while yet. I stopped by today and it is still VERY muddy....
