Some members are attending the Streatham Kite Festival this coming Sunday. If those who do not intend to travel so afar, wish to meet somewhere in Kent, please post your views here.

I will probably go to Mote Park (Maidstone) for a couple of hours if the weather is ok. Need to get some time in on sports kites

As the only posting has been Gareth's for Mote Park, that is the venue for any-one wishing to fly this weekend who is not going to Streatham.

I will join Gareth at Mote Park. If the weather is like today it should be nice, I would like to support the fly at Streatham but it is too far for me to drive to at the moment (in a bit of pain with my left arm). What times are you likely to do Gareth? Is anyone else likely to attend if so Wendy and I will stay around longer than Gareth's couple of hours?

A bit of light, and occasionally not so light drizzle in Maidstone this morning. Good breeze though. I'll keep you posted on conditions.

We won't be flying today, I am not feeling 100% and the dismal weather is not very encouraging. Hope anyone who does venture out today has a good fly

An interesting day in what can best be described as "playful" wind. Not really ideal conditions for anything, strong gusts followed by complete lulls and the directions swinging quite a bit. Still Kevin and I kept ourselves warm for a coupe of hours before heading home.
Time to think about where to fly next weekend I think.

Sorry I missed you.....
Was just leaving home when an old friend called....... I have to say that I would have preferred flying a few kites in dodgy wind.......but we need to look after those who choose us to be their friends from time to time.........

I had great fun, thank you Gareth for your help, I see myself as always the novice. Oddly enough today my tummy muscles hurt(yes there are a few muscles there, admittedly well hidden). Just shows what 10 minutes of power-kiting can do (and it was only a little one). A most enjoyable time .
