Is it worth even asking the question, or do we just concede this winter to the weather gods?

Kite surfing? ? Took me two hours to get from Tenterden to TWells this morning. There was a six foot fountain coming up from a roadside drain at one stage!!!!

Looks like in between the rugby, I will mainly be keeping my sewing machine warm. Hope they remember to shut the roof at Cardiff!

This morning looked almost perfect except for the wet ground and tomorrows weather looks reasonable.

The weather is looking better for tomorrow so I might try and get some breeze in my Dolphins and maybe try and KAP them at the same time. I'll probably go to the sunken garden at Westbrook or Palm Bay if anyone is interested although Hern Bay could also be a choice.

Teston Country Park is well and truly flooded again. Passed by earlier to see a car stranded in the road.
Sorry Peter, won't be joining you tomorrow.......Is likely to be too breezy....... Hope you have a good day...

Peter - You seem to be the lead here - let me know where you have decided and when you will be there and I will pop along for a couple of hours. Cheers Kevin

Thanet is too far for me today. If I brave the weather at all it will just be local. But the ground here is so wet I will probably stay in and watch some Rugby. Unlucky England by the way:-X
Get a different perspective - try KAP

OK. I will be flying my Dolphins and KAPing at Palm Bay, Thanet. Hope to see anyone who can make it. Was a good game all-round Gareth and much as it pains me to say it I think the better team won. x

Gerty you missed a lovely day. We had a marvellous time - it did get a bit nippy towards the end though. A nice steady breeze heading out to sea meant we were able to fly most things that we brought with us. Peter had his Rok and a Sled up, the latter with a whole school of Dolphins attached - they were fantastic to see and brought comment from several passers by - I hope Peter got some good photos. I am quite jealous I flew my sled with my new 5M Mega Turbine attached which looked quite nice. I had to move it quite close to where Peter was flying his dolphins before the lines got entangled, sometimes you really have to work at these things. I also flew my new Prism Stowaway Parafoil which apparently flies in 5-25mph - well it doesn't. It needs a minimum of 10mph and as it would not climb high enough to get the stronger breezes I soon gave up and moved on to my Snake Delta which was robust enough to take the heavy gusts that hit towards the end of the day. Although I took my pole - there were no tree-traps around and we were all able to leave in time for tea

Kevin, I have a Prism stowaway and it flies a dream in a steady wind, but, as you say does not like climbing. However, let all of the line out and eventually it finds it's own way.
Glad you had a great day.
Look forward to seeing those dolphins Peter.
