Len, you are correct, it is the first fly-in at Brogdale, although I will have to check out that the field is fit for use after all the rain. Will post later in the week.

Ok the situation is that we are allowed to fly at Brogdale Fruit Farm, Faversham this Sunday, please park in the main car park, flying will be in the first field, it is very wet underfoot so wear suitable footwear wellies or boots. Flying from about 11am

I hope to be there for at least the afternoon, not sure yet if I can do the whole day. I liked your colour coded weather charts Steve - but how do they work out that there will be exactly 49% cloud cover? Just one small cloud not turning up on time and it will all be wrong

What a great day we had flying, sunny and mild with just about enough wind to keep Flow Tails in the air most of the time. Seven flyers = Gerty, Steve, Kevin and Wendy, Barbara and Mike and myself caught up with any news that was to hand and enjoyed Kevins Un Birthday Cake, the real one is in July apparently so who knows?. The day concluded with a certain person parking a kite in the trees and the rest of us helping to rescue it when not laughing. There are photos!!!.

Did anyone think about where to fly next weekend?

Yes we did think............. but were too excited about actually being able to fly a kite............and......we left it at that!!!!!!!
Some won't be able to make it next weekend but we did discuss for another week, going to Riverside Park to support those living in that direction. It does have loos and a very nice cafe. I have flown there several times in the past. There's a very nice walk around the park (on non muddy concrete) which overlooks the Medway estuary and as Kevin says, lots of birds to see and photograph if the kite flying disappoints.
I did appreciate being back in the fresh air today and meeting up with my kite buddies. The ground was wet, but not boggy, and I have to say, there was not a single drop of mud on my kites at the end of the day. The weather was Spring like too...... Just what the doctor ordered to cheer us all up!!!!!......... The Non Birthday Cake was very good too!!!!

Indeed photographs were taken Len and if a certain person wants to get his version told he has until 1st April to get copy to me for inclusion in the next Windjammer. A lovely afternoon with some kites in the air although we could have done with slightly more in the way of wind. No firm decisions made about next week we will give it some thought and post ideas later in the week. Mike
