Another frustrating day weather wise with little wind and constantly changing direction. The children enjoyed running after their Bears and also running about trying to inflate the monster white parachute. The one decent period of wind we had to parachute Teds was interrupted by a thunder storm with large flashes of lightening so for safety reasons we had to bring the kite down, luckily this was late afternoon. The rain started to be a pain so we all retreated to the wooden Gazebo and waved frantically at every train that passed giving the appearance of an old folks outing!. 1700hrs came so we packed away our toys and went home.

Very frustrating week-end at Brogdale with little or no wind for most of the two days. Thank you to all members who came along either to assist with the Teddy Bear Parachuting or to fly kites, Display wind gardens.
We were requested at short notice to provide a kite making workshop as well, but it was not possible as awaiting replacement materials.
After some discussions the kite making workshop will be brought along to the Cider Festival, 24/25th August, as well as the club kites for loaning out, it will depend on having sufficient members available for the Teddy Bear parachuiting, as whether we are able to do the workshop, and with it clashing with Portsmouth as well. I will be putting out a request for support after Teston, but just to "bear" the dates in mind for availability.
