As previously we have access to the rear of the Hop Farm, just go through the barrier informing them you are from Kent Kite Flyers. Facilities will only be available within the main buildings. Please avoid parking on the grassed areas and also on the roadways.
Unfortunately this is the last time we shall be able to use the Hop Farm for free, there will be charge in 2014 if we wish to continue to use the fields. I am awaiting from them as to how much they are considering charging. Of course they are a business and after the difficulties financially in 2012/3 they need to increase their income. I have offered on behalf of the club to be an added attraction at one of their events at no cost in return for the 6 or so times a year we would fly there, but this has been rejected so far. Will keep you updated.

Wendy and I will not be there - Birthday celebrations instead. After a year of inactivity I have updated the Kite Blog with the night flight, the pictures sadly were not up to much but the few that were okay I have posted. kitenevents.blogspot.co.uk/

Apologies for not coming along, had an unplanned late start to the morning, so would not have left home until 11am at the earliest this morning, so decided it was not worthwhile travelling for just over an hour to get there.

Also there were Archie and Chloe and bringing up the rear were Barbara and Mike, the only two to get Kites up albeit briefly were Tony and Steve, well done guys.

Flash purple T-shirt? Good to see all peeps there. No hope of flying much due to much lower cloud than forecast.... Good to have a chin wag and to hear about Steve & Sue's trip to the Canaries......
