Light Up the Sky for Children in Need,
We shall be meeting at the seafront Walmer by the bandstand opposite the fish and chip shop and the Royal Marines Association club, from about 2pm onwards to allow kites to be flown and balanced and to be in the sky before night comes in and the wind changes. Remember height clearance for night flying is 100feet ( 60 metres).
Make sure those who are coming along wrap up warm and bring hot drinks as I understand that the "chippie" does not open on Sundays now.
Public toilets shout at 8pm

OK Chaps & Chapesses I have it on good authority that Fish & Chips are available on Sundays from an establishment at the end of King Street Deal (opposite the pier) 0.7 miles away from the flying site! Mike As for the toilets shouting at 8.00 Boney Its an event not to be missed, you just have to be there to appreciate it!

Looks like Len's prayers will be answered. Sunday looks like the sun will come along, even if Kaddy doesn't

A NW wind in Walmer on Sunday, which way is that blowing from /to please?. I think that means blowing down the green from the town side of the Pier slightly out to sea much as it was for the last LUTS we had there {could feel COLD though!}

Hi everyone thinking of coming to sunny Deal tomorrow. Have done second check on noisy toilets and can confirm they close at 8pm. The Fish and Chip shop on the seafront, just past the pier, has a small restaurant attached and they also close at 8pm - Car parking is available in either the Royal Hotel car park(opposite) or Middle Street car park (behind). If wind direction remains as forecast it should be coming from the toilets towards the bandstand, and may be "dirty" due to influence of buildings. Bonefish - I'm sure you have a comment for that one
