Hello Kent Kite Flyers,
I am hoping to organise a small kite festival at our local school, St Margaret's Collier Street (near Marden), in order to help raise money for a new classroom.
The plan is to hold the event one weekend, next March /April on the field, which usually has wind. I thought we could have a kite-assembling workshop for the kids, along with the usual refreshments and other money raising activity.
Having been impressed by the festival at Teston Bridge earlier this year, I was wondering if any of your members might be able to offer any help, such as bringing a centre-piece kite, or helping with the workshop, where to get cheap kites, or just general advice on organising such an event.
Hope you can help, James

I'm sure Malcolm will respond officially from the club, but just as a thought, March will probably be better for us than April. The kite season really gets going in April and many of us will disappear to France for one of the larger festivals in the week before and over Easter.

Jimmy
I am sorry but you name is not recognised on the list of those signed up to the forum, not sure why as it becomes automatic in the list.
So not able to send you pm at this time.
Perhaps you have a contact number via the school. I would prefer to receive a contact number via a personal message so perhaps you could try to send a pm to me

Morning malcomf
Sorry for the hassle, but I have just registered as JimmyT and am still 'pending staff approval'. Then I should be able to message you.
