There is a kite day at South Foreland on Tuesday 13th August, if any-one has the time to go and support there. I have already warned the organiser that as it is a weekday I am not sure how many of our members will be able to attend

Arrangements for parking same as in the past, the official times are from 2pm to 5pm, but KKF are welcome to arrive earlier. I have applied for additional height clearance. CAA cert will be sent directly to Jon Barker the person in charge of the event.

There is a very good chance that I will attend as I have been asked to KAP a house in the Village.

Syd We have always followed the route that Jon Barker from National Trust sent me back in March 2012. Not got lost yet and have avoided the possibility of Bill's go faster stripes. "Directions to the Lightouse: Drive through the village of St Margaret’s at Cliffe, in the direction of the coast. You drive down a gentle hill past a school and up the other side. On the right hand side at the top, there are two turnings. Take the second on the right. St Margaret’s road, follow down and take the fork to the left. You are now on Goodwin road, follow through houses onto track. Follow onto the end of track and turn left at the junction, follow the road down and take the next right." Hope you have a good day, I cannot be there as will be busy at work Mike

Well, Peter, Steve and myself attended and flew in very variable winds from next to none to very strong. There was a lot of interest in flying kites from young and not so young and we were able to sort out a few non flyers ( Kites that is! ).
