Was hoping to go to Basingstoke on Saturday with my friend Jane and join everyone on Sunday at Woodchurch.
However, my father collapsed at the wheel of his car today in Sainsbury's car park in Ashford and is now in intensive care having been given CPR by the Sainsbury's first aider, bless her. I don't think that flying kites will be my priority this weekend.....

Sorry to hear that Heather, is he in WH Hosp?, if so he will be in good hands, that where I was taken when I had my Heart Attack.

I echo the sentiments already expressed, hope your dad recovers soon and fully. Need to look after yourself as if you do not you will not be able to look after your Dad

Many thanks for all your kind comments.
He is still heavily sedated and on a ventilator, plus being kept at a very low temperature to protect his brain etc.
Hopefully we will know more tomorrow as they warm him back up and do some function tests.......
I amy be able to pop down to Woodchurch and lose another kite!!!

Have just picked up on the news of your father Gerty - hope by now things are clearer and that he is improving. Look after yourself and best wishes to him for a full recovery.
