For those who have not been following the events posting. Kent Kite Flyers have been invited and are attending the Teddy Bears Picnic at Brogdale Farm Faversham over this coming weekend including bank holiday Monday. We should be on site by 10am to be able to park on the field. There is a separate e-mail to members. It is not expected that all members will be attending all 3 days

Nice bit of fresh air is what the staff at the Old Sea Bathing Hospital in Margate recommended to those who were ill and went.
Seriously it is a nasty bug that has been around at least since the beginning of the year and does not seem to be ending.
To Gareth and Gerty and any-0ne else who is suffering hope it all passes soon, and you do not suffer too much longer.

For those that did not attend on Saturday, No wind when I left Ashford, but it was blowing well when I arrived at Brogdale. I put my Flowform up and it was a bit unettled as were all kites during the day. The Teddy Bears picnic was not well attended, however the few children that came kept us busy bunging their Bears. Two managed to get stuck on the High Roofs, but with poles lashed together and the aid of a ladder we were able to rescue them. The rain was nasty at times, also the Lifter Kite came down in the Car Park. I left around 5pm to return on Monday.

Enjoyed a very Sunny brogdale, today, very different from yesterday, lack of wind today, except for a sudden mini tornado, that sent kites, chairs and mikes pole of fish in all directions, it broke 2 of our kites, steve is currently in the middle of repairs. It then settled down, finally the breeze did arrive , and a small amount of bears parachuted, still a lack of people at the event.
