Fly-in on Sunday 6th August - Walmer. Weather permitting we will be flying on the beach to the rear of 'The Borrowpit' car park Kingsdown Rd, Walmer. A lovely afternoon spoiled slightly by the after effects of storm Antoni who's winds were extremely blustery when we arrived, Peter was sitting on a bench surveying the scene so we joined him to eat our lunch and put the world to rights. Eventually around 3.00 the gusts settled down and we decided to put some ripstop in the air. It was decidedly bumpy with large holes in it. Started off with two flowtails joined by an inflatable smiley. As the wind continued to settle down eventually I brought my flowtail down and flew a Brasington Dragonfly that coped very well with the bumpy conditions. No ideal wind wise but a lovely sunny afternoon. Mike |
