Sunday 6th November fly-in at Milton Creek. Gareth has been in touch with Kris (the ranger) and all is ok for us to fly there. We will have to enter the park via the entrance by the church, Green Porch Close. From the entrance by the church go straight ahead, follow the path to the right beside the low curved wall, this will lead to the parking area we have used in the past. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE ON THE GRASS. Gareth will try to be there from midday to unlock. What3words jolly.track.sketch or Postcode ME10 2HA will get you close. Hope to see you there Mike Next fly-in Sunday 13th November - The Lade

Quite concerned at the moment as the weather forecast isn't to good for Sunday at the moment. Early rain but winds gusting to 30mph. I will monitor the situation and post again should anything change. Mike

The amount of water all over Sittingbourne this morning would suggest the the green amy be quite soggy on Sunday unless we get some really strong winds and dry weather between now and then

Having just watched the BBC weather and consulted my usual apps it isn't looking good for tomorrow. They are now forecasting rain all day with winds gusting to 33mph. I think I will be hibernating this week. Mike We have had significant rainfall recently and with the ground now extremely soggy I feel the time has come to switch away from our summer flying sites and revert to the winter schedule i.e. Walmer, The Lade & Palm Bay. Comments please.

Persistent precipitation here in Faversham 09:00 there is a large puddle in my car park that was not there last night at 19:00. Knowing how much rain fell in Sittingbourne on Thursday I would suspect that Milton Creek Country Park is now very squelchy under foot. I do not fancy going there today, winter sites from now on sounds sensible.
This morning Faversham Weather station posted the following: Favershams Weather For Today Sunday 6th November 2022 A wet morning to come with some persistent and occasionally heavy rain slowly moving East The rain will clear during the afternoon for a time but further heavy and thundery showers are possible. It will also be quite a windy day more so a round the coast Maximum Temperature: 14°C (57°F), Minimum Temperature: 10°C (50°F), Wind Direction: South Westerly, Wind Speed: 16mph, Visibility: Good, Pressure: 1003mb, Humidity: 90%, UV Risk: 1, Pollution: Low, Sunrise: 06:58 GMT, Sunset: 16:22 GMT

As there is rugby to be watched and the weather is poor, I think I will stay at home.
I'm with Mike on the switch to winter sites.
