Fly-in Sunday 16th January - Walmer. Flying on the beach to the rear of 'The Borrowpit' car park Kingsdown Rd, Walmer. what3words tilts.coolest.breakfast will get you close. I have been holding off making a decision as I had been considering flying at The Lade this week, we haven't been near Steve & Sue for a while. However I have heard this morning that Steve has hurt his back and isn't flying at the moment so have decided to return to Walmer again this week. We all hope that Steve's back sorts it's self out quickly and look forward to flying with him again soon. In the meantime rather than go to Margate which was my next possibility, Peter had said he is happy to fly at Walmer to allow lighthouseleprechaun Janet to join us once again. So back to Walmer on what is currently looking to be a decent flying day. Mike

Not a lot of wind here yet, although more than there was at 8.00 - the tops of the trees are now moving occasionally. Otherwise, the weather is lovely, blue sky with broken cloud, which is moving steadily if not briskly.

Was pretty windless when we left Ashford but bright and sunny at Walmer with two lifters in the air and a baby dragon peeping over the shingle bank as we parked up. Steve P had just arrived and saw us into aparking space. We joined him, Gareth & Peter on the beach after a brief conversation with Barry & Janet who had popped by to say hello but were unable to park at beach level. Lighthouseleprechaun Janet joined us during the afternoon and between us we managed to fly quite a few kites as the winds were frendlier than last week although we still could have done with another couple of mph. Withe the temperature dropping like a stone and the sky a lovely red colour we packed up and headed home after a lovel relaxing afternoon.
