Anyone fancy a fly somewhere? Underfoot conditions around Maidstone have improved significantly. Assuming that is true countrywide, we could try an inland site, or go coastal again.

Sounds good if there are no pebbles.

As we might be doing Walmer on Wednesday or Friday I suggest the Lade.

I've heard back from Kris, unfortunately he feels unable to give us permission to use the site in the current circumstances.
If we were to do The Lade during the week, I'd suggest Palm Bay for Sunday. I don't suppose we can use Sellindge can we? I suspect Tonbridge is still too muddy.

I think Barbara would prefer Palm Bay as she is still not completely stable on her legs and would prefer not to have to cope with shingle. Mike

But then that puts us in Margate on Sunday and Walmer later in the week. It kind of feels like we are East Kent Kite Flyers.
I'll check out the parking charges in Mote Park tomorrow and let people know.

I checked on the mote park website. Parking is £2 for up to 6 hours, then goes up to £12.
There was meant to be a charity run tomorrow, but that has been cancelled, so there shouldn't be any issues. I will aim to get there around 12.30. Don't forget to bring your own food Simon as the cafe will be shut.

Gareth There are 3 car parks at Mote Park, whereabouts will you be parking / flying. Winds are looking a little stronger for Sunday now. Mike

Wind blowing across the flying site from the lake. Will have to get kites up a long way to find steady air which is not likely at Mote Park. Hmm, will see how I feel in the morning as to whether I want to drive that far not to be able to fly.

I will be near the children's play area and cafe. So enter the park via the main entrance, off Mote Avenue, after entering the park, cross the little bridge, then turn right up the hill, do not co tune down towards the lake. The car park is at the top of the hill.
