As the winds subside today I hope we all survived Ciara's onslaught intact and all who were away managed to get home safely. All ok here with no apparant damage. Mike

Bit of fence damage here, which I've fixed temporarily. An 'interesting' drive home. The M4 and M3 were ok, but the M25 got worse the closer I got to kent and the M20 was closed at Maidstone shortly after I got home. Lots of branches and trees down when I took the dogs, out this morning but otherwise ok.
Great workshop, and Simon successfully completed his first kite.

My journey was very much the same as Gareths but I had to do 60 more miles after Maidstone. I drove as far as Junction 7 on the M20 and didn't find it closed (I came through about 6.40 pm). Most of the major roads in Thanet were/are flooded but passable. Simon did a great job with his first kite workshop as did Gareth. All three of us completed our kites.

Pleased the travellers all got home safely. It was certainly an interesting day, gale force winds. torrential rain, and a four hour power cut during the afternoon. The good thing is everything appears to be ok so we are some of the lucky ones.
