Light Up The Sky will be Saturday 16th November on The Green at Woodchurch, Lit kites into the sky around dusk. I will be aiming to be there from about 3pm, but if others wish to arrive earlier than that is fine.
The forecast appears to be dry with a wind around 8-10mph, hopefully it will be steady at Woodchurch.
Janet informs me that there is an evening event in the community centre from around 7pm. So people will be arriving there from I suppose about 6.30pm.
Just hope I last out until then with the cold etc.
Be prepared for last moment cancellation if the weather becomes intolerable, and the event is moved to the Sunday.

Sorry, but as mentioned last week, I won't be able to join you today. Hope the weather is kind to you.

Thanks to everyone who joined the Kent kite Picnickers in the annual Light Up The Ground this evening. Sadly no wind but Steve did get two kites in the air albeit extremely briefly. We attracted some interest from a few families who bought their children over to see the lights. Funnily enough I enjoyed the evening and didn't get to cold. It was fun watching James & Victoria running round the field with illuminated kites just before we called it a night. Mike

As Mike posted it was light up the ground due to virtually no wind.
It was good to socialise with colleagues once the static display was out. Thanks to all who came along and supported the evening. Pity the public did not come out in force. Perhaps it was due to the kites not flying in the sky.

To all who couldn't make it to Woodchurch on Saturday and thought Sunday might have been the better option. It seems impossible but there was even less wind in Ashford last night than we had on Saturday! Mike
