Anyone fancy a fly? Subject to the weather being acceptable, how does Tonbridge sound to you all?

Shame, I was there last Saturday as I couldn't make Walmer. Managed to fly the Shuriken in 2mph, which must be a new record for me!

After sitting on the fence (ok, in armchair looking out of window) we have decided to attend. Bright and dry here, wind comes and goes so hope more steady wind in Tonbridge. Be there around noon

What a cold one Arrived just after noon to find a lonely Gareth sporting a very miserable attempt at a moustache with his Welsh KAP foil aloft. We swiftly got our chairs set up and my Skybums telephone box and Barbara's homemade Rokkaku joined him in the sky. After a while Barry & Janet arrived to be followed by Gerty. We were joined briefly by Dr Mir who flew for a while before being beaten by the cold. Boy was it cold! didn't seem to bad when we arrived but as the sky clouded over the chill in the wind seeped through and we all called it a day just after three. Good timing as it started to rain as we drove through Hadlow and was fairly pelting down on the way back to Ashford. A good afternoon though with enough breeze to keep us interested and I think we all managed to fly a few kites before the chill set in. Good to see everyone there thanks for turning out Mike

We also had another visitor - well I did. WHen I arrived the Kent Air Ambulance was just putting down into the castle grounds, and while Mike and Barbara were off getting their stuff from the car, he came out of the trees and flew off, no doubt heading for Pembury
