Confirm that it is Sellindge Sports and Social Club this Sunday from around 11am until dusk. Parking is in the car park and not on the sports field. Hope it is a nice day for all members attending.

Turned out nice in Maidstone yesterday afternoon. Let's hope for the same today. Got things I want to fly. Well had down around lunchtime and drink coffee.

Sorry Len, unable to collect A frames today - only got home yesterday. Very foggy here and no wind at all, hope Sellindge is better.

I arrived around 12.15, Gareth was there but the wind was only just. We flew Rollers then Barbara and Mike arrived and flew their Rollers until the call of the roast dinners had them depart to the Club House. I tried flying a Rok, I could get it up but it would not stay aloft so a Micro Cody was next with the same result. Gareth tried with his Brassington Delta but no luck, he also tried with his Canard but it was his cannot as it got all tangled so went back in the bag.
We joined the others in the Club House and had a coffee and put the world to rights. Went back out to the field to find the damp had come down and soaked my kites and chair so called it a day, Gareth had just left. I left the others in a sunny Sellindge only to find it Foggy all the way home to Ashford.

We tried flying lightweight kites after Gareth and Len left but the wind was non existant. As the fog was descending and the temperature falling we packed up and headed home. A lovely afternoon with a very good roast dinner courtesy of Sellindge Sports & Social Club. Mike |
