Medway City Council have invited Kent Kite Flyers to take part in the Will Adams Festival by flying oriental styled kites. Members have flown previously some years ago at this event.
Please let me know if you are interested, Bill, Gareth and myself have indicated that they will be attending. Again need to know numbers asap so as to request parking spaces

Shame, this one finally rolls around again and I've booked a break as my better half will be celebrating her 50th! On my regular flying field too no doubt (when at work)!

Janet asked me for some directional information last Sunday to you get onto the Great Lines Park for this event. Depends on which part you part you will be set up on as it is quite large area. If you be flying near the war memorial then the best POI for satnavs would be Brompton-Westbrook Primary School at ME7 5DQ. Turning into Brompton village from Wood Street, use Mansion Row (opposite Brompton Barracks), turn left at the crossroads into Sally Port and then take the first right, King's Bastion through the Army housing estate. This twists a bit but follow it to the end, passing the school on your left, to the memorial. Hopefully the gate will be open for you to park on the grass - otherwise parking is VERY restricted up there (6 spaces)! Grass is reasonably short up there for once and the mower was out on Tuesday. The other entrance is in Marlborough Road, Gillingham at ME7 5HD (nearest house number 141).

Details have been sent to those members who have given me their vehicle registration numbers.

That's a great shame! NOT a good place to fly I would've thought.

It is ok provided you can get above the trees. But that presents a big problem.
