Kent Kite Flyers, are confirmed attendees at The Apple Festival, providing the children's kite making workshop and kite flying on the back field, that is the one as far across as possible from the main car park and behind the field with wooden shelter. Parking will be allowed in this field, but have to be in place by 10am or else you may have to park in the main car park. The event is from 11am until 4.30pm and by wearing KKF clothing ( or have your membership card with you) you have free access to the apple festival. This is on both days. Any-one who would like to assist me in the kite making workshop would be welcome, so it would be possible to allow me and others to have comfort breaks/ lunch and have a wander around. The kitemaking workshop will be in a portakabin just past the entrance and almost next to the Big Barn. If you are only coming to assist in the workshop you have a choice of parking in the main carpark or on the field. Please note the Sunday as above would be KKF regular fly-in date at Brogdale.

We aim to be there and are happy to turn our hands to anything needed. Must remember to pack the tiger in the car seeing as it is mentioned on the festival website. www.applefestivalkent.co.uk/Mike

No changes to the previous postings, except for the addition comment below:-
Just to add to those who are flying in the back field there will be two falconry displays on both days, times area round 12.30 and 2.30pm.
Please ensure that any of our kites in the air are taken down for the duration of the falconry displays.
I believe camping will be allowed if I am informed by Thursday this week.

A big thank you to all the members who supported the event, both in the kite making workshop and those who flew kites and assisted where the children's kites got into difficulties. Without support we are unable to attend events and bring much needed income into the club.
