Kent Kite Flyers have again been invited to the above kite day, lets us hope that the weather is more favourable than the last two years. The official timings is 11am to 4.00pm, but any flyer who wishes to be on the field should be there by 10am. A number of members have responded to my posting on the Members Thread, in regard to providing veh reg to me by Thursday this week. If you have not done so far please let me know by pm, please do not post as a reply to this thread.

Just a reminder that all members attending, whose veh reg I have should be on the field by 10am latest, or else will have to park in the car park. Weather forecast is reasonable.

Hi Jamie
In case Malcolm doesn't see your post I know he needed car reg nos by last Thursday for those wanting to get on the field (I believe he had to pass them on to Medway Council) and that we have to be on the field by10.00. Sorry this is not much help but if you are there before 10.00 you might be lucky.
Janet

Thanks to all who came along and attended the above, especially as Brighton Kite Flyers had to pull out at last minute and along with only a couple of flyers( Sky Art) came along from Essex Kite Group

Enjoyed yesterday, never seen so many public attending, we had a queue of children and adults wanting to to fly the club kites, they all seemed to enjoy themselves, judging by the comments when they were returned. luckily the weather was vastly improved on the previous 2 years. Sue

Thanks Sue and Stev for comments, unfortunately, the organisers had not allowed an area for the public to fly and despite our urging to fly away from the invited flyers, the public got carried away with flying the loan kites and gradually encroached on our space, necessitating some curtailing of the flying. None the less the public were impressed that they were allowed to loan kites, and all but 4 made it back to us, with a few others gone off to have some minor surgery undertaken.
I have been requested to pass onto all the those who attended, thanks from Medway Council events team for making this year's Capstone special.
