This event is nearly upon us, and I hope members will support the Medway Council in their efforts to keep this event going. With many festivals under threat from local council budget restraints, I feel it is important to support where we are able local efforts to have kite flying whether or not it is a kite festival or part of another event. We were originally going to provide Teddy Bear Parachuting, but for variety of reasons, we have withdrawn from providing it. This is an opportunity just to fly kites, and perhaps assist in loaning out club kites, but more to promote kite flying as a leisure activity for all, and Kent Kite Flyers.
If you wish to park on the field members should arrive by 10am on Sunday 22nd September and will require car registration numbers some of which I have from last Saturday at Milton. If I do not already hold it a personal message please to me
Should you arrive after 10am then it is the main car park for the top field and have to walk your equipment through.
Hope you are able to support this event as Brighton and Essex kiters have been invited.

I have a number of members who have passed to me their car registration numbers, if there are any more members who wish to park by the flying area please let me know along with vehicle registration numbers.
To all those who are parking on the flying field, please approach slowly and with 4 way hazards flashing. You will not be allowed to leave until the end of the day around 4.30pm unless in the event of an emergency and only under strict steward control.

A good turnout of Kite Flyers attended including ones from Brighton, Essex, another group whose name escapes me and of course our very own Kent Kite Flyers who were not the only ones relaxing in chairs as there was little to no wind all day.

Good turnout of flyers yesterday from KKF, Brighton and Essex, shame that the wind was virtually non existent all day, enjoyed meeting up with all that attended Sue
