Despite many rumours, this event is on. I have delayed in updating as there has been some delayed in regard to gaining access to the field due to the work being done on behalf of the Environment Agency over-running. I have been in contact weekly at least to have the access agreed to the field as required.
The field will be restricted at the Bridge end but not enough to interfere with the flying or parking.
Camping will be allowed from the Friday morning until Monday morning with an expected minimum donation of £10 per unit of up to 4 persons.
Look forward to meeting up with you over the week-end

Just to add that the food trader booked for the week-pend has pulled out at last minute, so make sure you bring your own food and drinks. Cold drinks should be avaiable from the ice cream van ( who has a long term contract with KCC )

What a great weekend. Whoever paid for the weather deserves some parise, it can always be better, more sunny, better wind but overall I think it was brilliant! Many thanks to all who supported the event. Many many thanks to those who organised it. I for one thought it all went very smoothly and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. The Sat night BBQ was a triumph, many thanks to Bill for the cooking, Janet & Debbie for the veg run and anyone else who helped. I think the KKF did Ron proud, a good enjoyable smooth running but most of all friendly weekend Kite event where everyone Flew for fun! Mike

Many thanks for posting the Teston pictures, Gareth, and for your concern over our absence. The first Teston we have missed since before joining the KKF. We had intended coming now that Margaret's eye situation has stabilized...not right but not likely to get any worse... then I caught a bug that had to be fed with pills that prevented me driving. Our next attempt to get to Kent will be for the 24/25th Brogdale event. We aim to be there both days and will be pleased to help in any way we can. Probably me on Saturday and both of us on Sunday. To all our Kentish friends, sorry to have missed you again, but we will catch up. Colin.

Colin,
Janet said that she had received a telephone call saying that you were unwell, glad you are on the mend, and hope to see you at Brogdale for the Cider Festival over Bank Holiday week-end.
