It has been confirmed that we are allowed to use Radnor Park Folkestone once again for OSOW from 10am to 5pm on Sunday 13th October. More details closer to the day

As this is the first OSOW since the passing of Jilly Pelham why dont we acknowledge her part in bringing OSOW to the UK and Kent in particular and try and fly as amny of her kites on the day??

Bill has suggested that at 11am, we should try to fly as many as possible of Jilly Pelham's kites as a memorial to her life and the setting up and promoting OSOW in UK. He suggested flying for about 15 minutes or so.
Bill has several of her kites which he has agreed to lend to members who do not have one of her kites.

I suggest for one year only that we rename it and call it One Sky One Jilly.

I suggest for one year only that we rename it and call it One Sky One Jilly. Len. Quite a good suggestion Len or OSOW for Jilly. Bill would like to fly Jilly's kites for about 1 hour, so long as there is wind then we can try to keep the Virtual Visions Kites flying for as long as possible

A bit far for me and the knee to go as it is uncomfortable on long journeys. Sue is suffering as well so that's that. Have a good time, Best Regards Mike

Wendy and I will be there unless it is bucketing with rain though hopefully Steve will be taking it all up to the Lake District with him.

I am reluctant to travel today, it is raining here and the forecast I saw said rain all day, clearing in the North part of the SE later. Has anyone got anything different? I am thinking of staying at home and waiting for it to clear then fly locally.

What a welcome back from my short break, rain everywhere down in The South East. As has been stated the weather forecast for to-day is rain and strong winds. I suggest we call off OSOW for to-day and perhaps have it as one of our fly-ins somewhere in the future, especially one where I have applied for height clearance namely Brogdale or Paddock Wood in November.
I am going to send out e-mail alert along same lines, sol apologies if you get this message twice to-day.
