Well guess what, I've been watching the weather apps again and until this morning it wasn't looking to good. However I've checked this morning. Barbara's version of the app is showing winds 11 gusting 22, my version of the same app is saying winds 2mph gusting 20. No rain until 7.00pm with temperatures hovering around zero - 2 degrees. Walmer is the location of choice for anyone who can make sense of the forecast and wishes to give it a try. Weather permitting we will be flying on the beach to the rear of 'The Borrowpit' car park Kingsdown Rd, Walmer. Postcode CT14 7LH or what3words tilts.coolest.breakfast will get you close. Mike

Currently raining hard in Maidstone and zero wind. I won't venture out if it remains like this.

Sun's out, no rain here in Ashford. Doesn't look like much wind either at the moment. Weather app saying 11 - 26mph for Deal now so looks like it's sorted it's self out today. Heard on the radio about fog this morning but there's no sign of that here. Still thinking of going there at the moment unless things change before we leave, don't expect us to be early though. Mike

Well, Barbara & I met with Peter on the Steppes of Walmer and each of us flew a kite! The wind can only be described as fresh both in strength and temperature. We had a nice sit and were able to put the world to rights whilst enjoying the bracing fresh air. It was nice to get back in the relative warmth of the car when we left at 3.30 ish. Will keep a watch out for the weather for next weekend in the hope that it might be a little more kite friendly. Mike
