Dieppe International kite festival

It has now been announced that there will be no Dieppe kite festival in 2024, due to various logistical and financial constraints on the organisers. However there will be a festival in 2025, for which dates will be announced in September 2024.

Dear friends,
As usual, many of you have contacted us during 2023 to find out about the dates of the upcoming Dieppe International Kite Festival. We warmly thank you for your encouragement, congratulations and patience!
We are committed to informing you as soon as possible. The time has come.
Leaders of Dieppe Kite Capital met during their General Meeting on November 22, 2023. The criteria and imperatives required to organize such an event were discussed.
Some important points, specific to 2024, caught the attention of the Assembly, namely:
• The restrictions related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024, and the passing of the Olympic Flame in Dieppe.
• The major works on the Colbert Bridge in Dieppe, announced for a period of 17 months, will affect access to the city centre.
• Budgetary constraints of public financiers in 2024
The association was in the starting blocks to launch the 2024 event, but in view of these elements independent of our will, we were led to make the wise decision to schedule the next festival in September 2025.
However, the year 2024 will not be a white year!
The association is already at work preparing and setting up neurological actions.
The schedule and useful information will be posted over the weeks on Dieppe's Facebook page and website.
Volunteers who wish to contribute to these projects are encouraged to contact the association (by email: [e-mail] ).
At the same time, at the beginning of 2024, we will start programming for 2025. Exchanges and projects with the kites can begin. The official dates of the festival will be decided and announced in the early days of September 2024
Together, we will prepare a new, original and friendly programming so that in September 2025 skydivers and festival regulars will find the atmosphere they enjoy so much.
