Mike had put down Radnor Park for this Sunday's fly. But due to enhanced security at ports and airports, the M20 seems to be closed to all but freight traffic (again), which could make life difficult.
Any suggestions for a venue? How about Milton Creek?

I'm afraid that at the moment I'm under doctors instructions not to drive any distance so will be travelling only as far as Palm Bay if I go out at all.

Oh no...I've arranged to pick up a client's X-box from Dover on the basis that we were meeting at Radnor Park!!! Is the A249 ok for getting to Milton Creek? The wind though looks about the same as last Sunday!!! ?

The 249 is ok, just remember to be innthe outside lane as you approach from Detling, or you end up on the coast bound M2

I was planning on popping over to Folkestone to join you, as trains ARE running, but then you changed the venue, so I'm doing something else now !
The wind forecast doesn't look great for flying - single figure mph, with occasional gusts as high as 10 or 11mph. My trusty bamboo is scarcely moving, just the leaves are fluttering. Good luck !
P.S. Not available next weekend either.

Phew wot a scorcher! A lovely warm afternoon spent sitting in the shade with good friends. The little breeze about allowed us to fly a few kites but overall it was a Kent Kite Picnickers afternoon. Gareth eventually made his way through the efficient Kent roads (M20 closed and A20 like a car park) but made it, was good to see Gerty who stopped off for a chat. We were treated to a lovely rainbow over Folkestone as we began to pack up and noticed matrix signs warning of 45 min delay between Jct 9 - 8 so hope everyone managed to get home safely. Mike Next week Sept 17th Margate - By the Sunken Gardens, Royal Esplanade, Westbrook.
