I have recently been flying at Hythe beach which has worked very well for me.
Interestingly, I first visited Hythe having moved to Kent over 20 years ago and had lunch at the fish restaurant in 2001 if memory serves.
Hanging from the ceiling was a range of wonderful kites which I “understand” (correct me if I am wrong) to have been produced by the late Jilly Pelham who lived in Hythe.
Reading my copy of the “Flexifoil Book of Power Kiting” by Jeremy Boyce, it mentions Jilly Pelham who worked on the pre-production prototypes of the Flexifoil power kite.

Yes Skyhigh Jilly Pelham did live in Hythe and sometimes came down to the Green for a chat when we flew there. A number of club members have VV Kites in their collections (Vertical Visuals or VV was Jilly's trade name)
