Not sure at the moment if I will be available to play this weekend so I will leave it up to you to decide where to fly and I will try and join you if I am able. Mike

Muddy underfoot in Maidstone today, so, much as I want to fly on grass, I suggest we choose a beach. The Lade gets my vote.

Well it'll be Palm Bay for me. Nice and dry with a 10-15 mph westerly. It's been a long time since Thanet has seen kites.

The grass has dried out nicely at Tonbridge for future reference....Walked right across the field this afternoon. The wind has certainly helped.
The Lade sounds good to me though!!!

Well I had a good day at Palm Bay even if no-one joined me. I shared a WhatsApp video link with Pieter Binsbergen who was out on his local grassy spot in South Africa so I had some company. I flew my Trilobite and Baby Crab along with my Mike Palmer Buzz-cut and my Binsberg Buzz-cut and Pieter flew his Cuttlefish and Mantaray along with quite a selection of tubes, Gomberg spiky balls and windsocks. The wind completely died at 5 pm so I packed everything away and thought "try the new night kite". It took to the sky on virtually nothing and nailed itself there. Stayed there until just after 7 pm entertaining the kids and other passers by who were fascinated by the display....a great time had by 🤔 ME! 😉

Sunday 19 plus 1 Went out again today this time with Marting. I flew my Fauchies as they desperately needed airtime. Marting flew his Spongebob as a lifter for his Garfield and Paw patrol, he also flew his Octopus. It was great entertainment for the youngsters and their parents as they came out of school. Loads of people came up and said how nice it was to see kites being flown on the field again as they hadn't seen any for ages. The kites looked gorgeous as the setting sun lit them with a beautiful golden glow. Ahh, its nice to share.
