I have received the following from the organisers
"I am a volunteer with the Whitstable Oyster Festival Association and once again we will be staging a fun kite flying event as part of the Festival. ‘Come Fly Your Kite’ will be held on Friday 16th September at 3.45pm to 5pm on Tankerton Slopes when we will be encouraging locals and visitors to have a go at kite flying from the top of the slopes, with a great sea view in front of us. Participants can bring their own kites or buy them on site. Last year we had a number of KKF members bring some spectacular kites to fly and it would be great to have you back again for this year’s Festival. So if you would be kind enough to spread the word about our event we would be delighted to welcome you. There is a festival website whitstablerocksoysterfestival .com which announces the Festival but please contact me if your members would like any more information about the arrangements."
I have advised them that the date clashes with Dieppe, so several members will not be available, but if anyone can go along, I am assured you will receive a warm welcome.
Gareth

This is because Mike, Barbara and myself attended last year. I should be around for this but if anyone else can come, that would be great.

Falls right in the middle of Dieppe so a few of us will be away.

Barbara & I will not be able to attend this year, however I would like to encourage anyone who is around to join in the fun. Fly a kite on the Tankerton slopes for a couple of hours and show the people there that there are many styles and colours of kites. Great fun last year. Mike
