Hello all, As some of you know we are relatively new members and are building up our kite collection as we have got the bug or it has got us!
Having just learnt that the condensation that builds up in the plastic bags the kites are sold in can damage the kites; I have several kite bags to make! We are looking for the following pre-owned items to purchase if possible before we buy new:
ripstop nylon material either 1/4, 1/2, or whole metre pieces and or off cuts / scraps.
12” Halos (as the ones sent with the new kites are not large enough if using a stronger line).
We would rather Re-use, Re-purpose or Recycle before buying new if at all possible.
Many thanks,
Jo & Martin

Well I've searched for my poost from a couple of years ago, but I can't find it! But, I have a stock of ripstop ideal for making kite bags and kites. I bought this from an ex-kite maker whho had given up due to alzheimers disease. I have a lot of colours available, and am happy to sell any quantity at £2 per metre. Let me know and I can brinig it along to a meeting sometime.

Hello Gareth Thanks for your reply. A mix of colours would be great to help me get started on the bags and even attempt a couple of simple kites . Can you let me know what colours you have please? Or just cut me a metre of each and let me know how much I owe you. That is a very reasonable price at £2 per metre!
Do you know which of the meet-ups in the near future you will be attending ?
Kind regards,
Jo

Being colour blind, I'm not going to attempt to tell you the colours. I will bring them along and you can choose and we can cut them there and then.
Not too sure at the moment. I am at Woodchurch today but see you arenheadingnyo Palm Bay. I will post a reply to the fly ins I am going to, do keep your eyes peeled.
