I change the title to reflect that the hoped for post Christmas fly-in was rained off.
So according to my calendar we have two Christmas Days and two boxing days this year 27th is listed as Christmas Day Bank Holiday and 28th as Boxing day Bank Holiday so we have a choice of flying days anyone up for it??

I'm free on 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th ... Any day but limited on venue.
I'm planning a 3 course Christmas dinner on the beach (if not raining) with a spot of post-prandial kite flying.

Prandial = off to look that up. postprandial [pəʊs(t)ˈprandɪəl] ADJECTIVE post-prandial (adjective) formal humorous during or relating to the period after dinner or lunch. "we were jolted from our postprandial torpor" medicine

That's fine with me too. Thanks.
Only observation according to my friend the Met Office is there is more chance of rain on Monday than on Tuesday. Wind similar both days.
But we've all got waterproofs haven't we ? (I think it's called skin !)

I'm not sure the weather is going to behave on Monday. Latest from Met Office is 50% chance of light rain from 10am, 80% of heavy rain from 1pm, 60% light rain 3pm. Wind 4-5, gusting 6 during heavy rain.
Meteogroup for BBC is slightly more positive, but as they didn't say fog that Sunday when it was actually already foggy, I'm not convinced.
I think I'll go down earlier than we might normally meet, then won't feel I'm running away if/when it rains heavily. You've all got cars to go and hide in ! But if it's raining too hard in the morning, I won't be setting out until it's reasonable.
Just for the record, I did manage to fly on the beach on Christmas Day, but it was pre-prandial, as it was drizzling, the strong wind was coming straight off the sea, the spray making it colder. I went home and ate the picnic !

We're busy both days. We'd be interested in a Saturday New Year's Day fly somewhere, weather not looking too bad either

No wind and light drizzle in Maidstone at the moment. I won't be heading to Walmer today, but, assuming it brightens up as forecast, I will head down there tomorrow instead.

Yes looked at the weather and its rain until 16:00 with 14 - 29mph winds shame because yesterdays forecast said the rain would clear by midday
