If the weather stays as is, but it brightens during the week, perhaps those of us with nothing better to do could meet for a midweek fly? Sorry but not available at all this coming week. Little monsters staying Wed / Thurs leaving little time to prepare for Christmas so won't be out to play. Just been for a walk round the block. Very cold here certainly doesn't feel like the 7 degrees forecast, very little breeze. Have decided to stay here as the day doesn't look like clearing up and daylight is limited this time of year. Have just looked at weather for Walmer Castle. 100% cloud is correct. Wind 8-13mph nothing like it. Temp 5 feels like 0 could be right as wind is northerly. Mist/ sea fog is not lifting.
Over to Lighthouseleprechaun for a Met office update......

The things you do for Kite flyers ...
Weather report from coastal station Deal.
Positives: 1) I am home safe 2) I have had my daily exercise
Negatives: 1) fog 2) drizzle 3) no wind 4) not a kite in sight 5) I've got cold fingers 6)it's rubbish out there
Verdict: stay and home, take a leaf out of Gareth's nest and nibble your nuts. My nut of choice will be vacuum-packed roasted and peeled chestnuts. Available on special offer at the moment in Sainsbury's (if there's any left after I've bought them all !)
Regarding a mid-week meet. I'm available any day. Tuesday would be the least convenient.
I was hoping to wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS in person, but just in case, MERRY CHRISTMAS !
