Walmer is fine with us, hope to see you all there. Will bring my new toy and hope the wind is better suited to it than on Tuesday. Metcheck recons 2 degrees feeling like 0 with 6 - 11 mph slightly North of East winds (offshore) so wrap up warm as it's going to be a coldun. Mike Don't you mean slightly North of West Mike 😉

That was a good afternoon's flying. We couldn't park in the original place we chose because (a) The car park was full with fishermen (the tide was in), and (b) The car park apparently belongs to English Heritage who now levy a parking charge and we are too tight to pay. So Peter and I set up along the beach having parked in the car park next to the toilets, and were soon joined by Mike and Barbara. Lots of new toys came out to play. I suspect many of them have gone home damp in the mizzle that plagued us all afternoon. Barry and Janet popped out to say hello, and we all went back to impose ourselves on their generosity. Yes it was a good day, cold and with a wind that could have been a little more consistent. still we managed to get a few new toys aloft. A lot of the Walmer walkers stopped to take photos and take a look. One couple, taking their children for a walk, stopped ad said "thank you, you have really brightened up our day. The kites look lovely" Comments like that make it all worthwhile. Thanks to Bazjan for the warm up and hospitality, its only when you go into a nice warm house that you realise just how cold you are!
