November is looking a little troubled for me kite flying wise. Sorry, won't be out this weekend.

Could be about if it's relatively local.

When I said ‘local’ I was thinking St Mildred’s or Palm Bay. If it’s just me and Peter that would probably suit.

When I said ‘local’ I was thinking St Mildred’s or Palm Bay. If it’s just me and Peter that would probably suit. As there seems to be only two members interested in flying this weekend, I will leave it up to them to decide the venue. Unfortunately I will be able to come out to fly, as have family visiting. Will e-mail members and request that they check forum for updates

I suggest Palm Bay then unless you prefer St. Mildreds

Well Tim and I made the best of a challenging wind it had been forecast at 18 - 20 kph but turned out to be nearer 45-50 kph! My Mantaray flew extremely well but it was too strong for much of the line laundry. Tim did a quick charge down the field on his buggy but gave up when he turned at the end of his run and was promptly dumped. He ended up flying a couple of Peter Powell's and a small stunt delta. It was a relief when it started to get dark and we could put the kites away........maybe we'll get our blood flowing again soon, just need to thaw out!

Only got the one i'm afraid, 85 vintage. I was also flying an old Trilby and a Wild Thang - quite forgotten how noisy that thing is! It also has 5 stackers to go with it! One of these day I shall get all 6 up flying.

Somewhere in my shed I have a stack of 10 Wild Thangs that used to belong to David Sage (he of Canterbury Kite Site). I must check on their state of repair! I only ever flew them once. It was "quite" scary!
