Our next event as the season draws to a close is the OSOW day at Radnor Park Folkestone, gathering from around 11am onwards. This is the day when Kite Flyers all over the world fly on the same day to support World Peace. The number of kites flown by each event is notified to OSOW. The public will be encouraged to join in, either with their own kites, or by using our loan kites or there will be a few kites for sale. Additional height clearance has been sought for up to 1500ft. The event is organised to finish at 5pm.
Parking is on the road, no vehicles allowed off road.

My thanks to all the members who came along to-day, unfortunately there was very little wind all day, and at least three heavy showers. Due to the above conditions, the total number of kites flown on OSOW was not up to our usual tally, numbering only 35 including those flown by members of the public.

And there had been no rain in Maidstone all day!
But a good day none the less. Thanks for organising Malcolm.

Strikes me, judging by the way the world is going nowadays, that OSOW needs to be a weekly event rather than an annual one!
