Just moving this post to the top, as today I have WiFi connection again at the hotel complex, it drops out more than being connected.

What a great day this turned out to be. Debbie and I had the grand idea of having a Kite picnic as part of my 70th birthday celebrations. Attended by members as well as family and friends. Some of these were flying kites but with the location of where we were based I was able to have two separate flying areas into members and others, took along the club kites.Peter H in trying to deflate the Bol, obtained kite line burns and cuts to both sets of fingers and palms, which needed treatment at A&E QEQM and then a referral to Burns Unit at East Grinstead. You may have seen pictures on facebook of the fingers. The fingers have been bandaged and hs is to be very careful over next couple of weeks whilst the fingers recover. Luckily he has only professional carer the lovely Jacqui to look after him. Both Len and Peter are now on the road to recovery. Both Debbie and I wish them well and a speedy recovery. Thanks for all who came along, and so far I have raised £165 for Prostrate Cancer UK. If you would like to donate I have a page on www.justgiving.com
