What a great day flying with our friends from East Anglian Kite Flyers and Haven flyers. Winds were a trifle light to start with, but swung around and became steady, only to die away early afternoon, before putting in another appearance a bit later.
Thanks to all for making us so welcome, and keeping us fed and watered, especially with the bread pudding (yum).
Lets do it all again next year please (if not sooner)

There are one or two places where I have flown kites that I just want to roll up and take home with me. The Greensward at Frinton on Sea is one. What a fabulous place to fly kites especially when the weather has been so well organised, dry, sunny and with a few hours of a fabulous steady breeze. Well steady until the meter ran out then it died and became a whispish breath but enough for my stork to be very happy aloft. A wonderful day, I have not had kites staked out with line laundry for quite a while. Many thanks to our East Anglian friends for hosting a memorable memorial fly-in, it was well worth the journey! Mike PS: more bread pudding please

So sorry for not being able to join today..... As most of the KKF know I am particularly fond of Flo-tails and would have wanted to celebrate Martin's life with flying them... As Gareth said......Be back next year!!!!!!!

What a great day to remember our dear friend Martin. Lovely weather, a reasonable amount of wind to get some kites in the sky and great company . Many thanks to all our friends from Kent Kite Flyers who made the long journey up to be with us, it was great to meet up with you all again. We certainly look forward to you joining us next year! I have put up some photos from today on our website www.eastangliankiteflyers.org.uk/gallery.shtml. Happy flying and tight lines, Jonathan

I can only echo the comments made by fellow members in regard to yesterday, what a really nice day to be flying in memory of Martin Corrie, I can only think that he was looking down on all those who came along and gave us the sunshine of his smile.
Good company, bread pudding, great flying site, bread pudding, great weather, coffee and bread pudding.
Thanks for the link to the gallery of photos from yesterday.

I will credit you with having supplied the pictures and send a link to the mag once it is published around the end of December. Mike
