Had a great weekend drove on the field saturday morning first thing i had to do was change my flat trye for a silly 50mph wheel. So greasy muddy and wet i decided it was time to fly, out came the hq delta with nice long tails, it sat around 400ft up for a few hours until the cross spar exploded and the kite landed in a heap on the ground, since bad things tend to come along in three's i wondered what else could go wrong, the day continued well better than i expected. We left around 16.30. Arrived nice and early Sunday morning sporting a brand new tyre to a very very wet field and no signs of life from campers decided to grab a coffee, Flew mega sled with tube tail and had a bit of a Rev fly pond skipping in the middle of a field. Depsite the weather and the mishaps along the way i absolutely enjoyed the weekend. Thank you Collin for help with gas bottle, thanks goes to Bonefish he spent all afternoon hunting down a more suitable tent for us, we have aquired said tent and are looking forward to showing it off next weekend at Sumners.

Gonna have to change your name I'm afraid I believe precipitation had subsided long enough for my reputation to stay intact. ;D

I blame the mostly awful weather over the two days on Janet packing suntan lotion because as soon as we left on Sunday the rain stopped, wind increased and the sun came out. Despite that it was so good to meet up with everyone who supported the event. Thanks to Syd for making (and re-making) all the arrangements. Barry

We had a good time, despite the awful weather at times, nice to meet up with Kiting friends old and new, such a shame for all concerned that the weather could not have been like today, although Sunday afternoon the Sun shone, and everyone managed to fly. Many thanks to Syd for all his hard work, roll on next year Steve and Sue

Could not agree more in the end it was a great week end. Was asked in the pub on Friday 'What do Kent Kite Flyers Do' We showed them 'WE FLY FOR FUN!' and in all weathers. I was surprised to find my table still upright this morning with the reel of 25lb line exactly where i left it even after the storm force winds that swept the site over night. Thanks to all who came from Essex Suffolk & Sussex to help put on a great show. Lets hope the owners of the Hope Farm thought the same. A very apt Typo Steve, ( the Hope Farm ) len.
